Assistive Tool1

FM Hearing Systems FM (Frequency Modulation)

This devices are used by the person with hearing diffculties. It includes the devices like microphone on the teacher’s ear and a receiver on the student’s ear. The device directly transmits the teacher's voice into the hearing device of the student, reducing background noise and increasing the clarity of voice delivered by the teacher. FM systems functions effectively in noisy or large classrooms, where without this device the hearing-impaired students would be left behind.

I find the FM system to be an inclusive technology that promotes equal learning opportunities. In a classroom, students with hearing impairments may struggle to follow lessons, especially when there is noise or when the teacher is far away. The FM system helps bridge this gap by improving sound clarity, which leads to better understanding and participation.

Using this tool not only benefits the student with hearing loss, but it also raises awareness among teachers and classmates about the importance of inclusive practices. It reminds us that every learner has different needs and that technology can play a powerful role in supporting diverse learning styles.

Overall, the FM hearing system is a simple yet effective assistive device that creates a more accessible and supportive learning environment.
